Do I need receipts for FSA reimbursement?

During your Flexible Spending Account plan year, as you incur expenses after you get an FSA eligible product or pay for a service, you'll be able to submit for reimbursement. Your FSA administrator is in charge of your account and can help with any FSA-related questions and reimbursement. Or, you can also browse our comprehensive Eligibility List, which lets you search hundreds of products or medical services that you can apply your FSA money toward.

How can I use my FSA money?

You can use the funds from your FSA either with an FSA debit card provided by your employer, or by submitting paper receipts for reimbursement of FSA eligible expenses. You can use your FSA debit card at any approved pharmacy or store that accept these special cards. Using an FSA debit card automatically approves eligible items. If your FSA debit card is denied for some reason, that likely means that the item is not eligible with your individual FSA plan. Using an FSA debit card will often mean you don't have to submit receipts to your administrator, but it's always a good idea to hold onto your receipts just in case they're needed for any reason.

Shopping at FSA Store and submitting receipts for your FSA: easily accepts FSA debit cards and major credit cards. If you don't have an FSA debit card, you can still shop with us. We can provide an itemized receipt that you can submit to your FSA administrator for reimbursement.

On the form you submit for reimbursement from your FSA, you'll need to include personal details and information about the product or service you receive, any amounts owed and the date of the service provided. Your FSA administrator will be able to give more details about what's required.
